Ceramic Plate Diffuser is an enormously fine bubble diffuser and is often considered to as a Nano-bubble diffuser. - The ceramic plate diffuser has a bubble size of 10 to 20 microns mm and an inlet of ¼” which gives it very high Standard Oxygen Transfer Rate (SOTR). Owing to such small size of bubbles and holes, the oxygen / air / gas remains perched in the water for very long therefore increasing the gas transfer rate to almost thirty percent of flow.
- As the holes are small, the pressure needed to operate the diffuser is also high. As a result of this, regular twin lobe or root or ring blowers are not attuned with these plate diffusers.
